MAYOR SPIRO

Political campaigns have to do a lot in very little time: introduce a candidate, build recognition and give people a reason to pay attention. For Spiro Cheriogotis' 2025 campaign for Mayor of Mobile, I helped develop a visual identity and creative system designed to feel optimistic, approachable and unmistakably local.

Political creative also comes with no shortage of opinions and approvals, but we continued to push beyond the expected, putting family at the center and finding more lighthearted ways to build name recognition. We turned “Spiro” into a dictionary entry, riffed on the familiar Greer's grocery circular and even handed the campaign over to his four kids as the “Real Campaign Crew.” The work spanned digital, social, outdoor, print, signage and grassroots materials, earned a Reed Award and, most importantly, helped carry the campaign to a win. In November 2025, Spiro was sworn in as Mobile's 109th mayor!
